BEERTENDER/SERVER/RETAIL
We are seeking craft beer enthusiasts with serving experience to join our team as craft beer servers. You must have a passion for craft beer; the ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays); the desire to provide an exceptional tasting room experience, all while promoting an understanding and appreciation of the art, history and culture of craft beer. We’re looking for team players who are dependable, fun, friendly, energetic and authentic. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Welcome guests to the tasting room in a warm and enthusiastic manner
Relay information about beer genres and recommend beer styles to our guests
Clean, clean, clean
Adhere to safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol service policies and procedures
Handle cash and operate the POS system
Take customer orders and service tables
Change kegs
Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
Be a beer enthusiast, passionate about craft beer
Have a positive attitude and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
Beertending, bartending, serving or retail experience: 1 year
Previous experience checking and verifying ID’s
Cicerone Beer Server (Level 1) certification is a plus and completion after hire is required.
Be at least 21 years of age
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities with a focus on providing an exceptional guest experience
Guest service oriented with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Be motivated, hard-working, safety-minded and innovative with a commitment to representing and enjoying in the culture and success of Village.
Experience working with POS systems
Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
Ability to routinely lift and move up to 75 pounds
Ability to change kegs and knowledge of beer draft systems
Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Excellent communication skills
LEAD COOK
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 45lbs from the floor to waist height safely.
Minimum two years experience in a supervisory role in a fast paced volume kitchen preferred.
Have a current food safety handlers card, or be able to obtain one upon hire.
Assist the Kitchen Manager with ordering, inventory control, scheduling, coaching and disciplinary actions of BOH staff.
Create and implement schedules with KM based upon business demands and any planned events.
Collaborate with KM on food specials by paying attention to customer feedback and current food trends.
Follow proper closing and breakdown procedures to ensure the kitchen and equipment are well maintained!
Report and equipment malfunction, food/cleaning inventory issues to Kitchen manager in a timely manner to allow a prompt response and resolution to any issues.
Be punctual and ready to work scheduled shifts.
Line Cook
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assist Lead/Kitchen Manager with proper receiving and putting away of deliveries according to proper HAACP protocols. Inform managers of any issues with delivery in a timely manner; (i.e-damaged goods delivered, missing items, etc.)
Inform managers of any faulty equipment issues, or any station discrepancies promptly to management.
Work as a team to prep items needed for your shift, and to think ahead beyond just the current day!
You will be cross trained to help and execute all stations to help ensure the kitchen is running smoothly, there is no “that’s not my job” mentality here!
Keep track of your inventory and report any lows to the Lead/Kitchen Manager promptly to ensure they are ordered in a timely manner.
Follow proper closing and breakdown procedures to ensure the kitchen and equipment are well maintained!
Report and equipment malfunction, food/cleaning inventory issues to Kitchen manager in a timely manner to allow a prompt response and resolution to any issues.
Be punctual and prepared to work on time.
One year minimum kitchen experience preferred but not necessary, will train the right candidate.
Ability to safely lift a minimum of 45lbs from the floor to waist height repeatedly.
Dishwasher/Prep
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Helps to accept, receive, and put away deliveries according to proper HAACP procedures.
Will help maintain cleanliness of kitchen and seating areas with the following :
Check, clean, and restock the bathroom of necessary items periodically throughout the day.
Sweep and mop up any spills that occur in both inside and outside seating areas.
Empty and replace trash bins as needed
Work with the kitchen manager and cook team members to complete food prep items..
Wash, rinse, and sanitize all serving wares and cooking equipment when not doing food preparation to help maintain a clutter free kitchen work area.
Must be able to lift repeatedly a minimum of 45lbs from the floor to waist height safely, and be able to stand for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
Follow proper cleanup and breakdown procedures as advised by Kitchen Manager and GM.
Report and equipment malfunction, food/cleaning inventory issues to Kitchen manager.
Be punctual and prepared to work on time.
Minimum one year kitchen experience preferred but not necessary. Will train the right candidate.
